Artifact Reduction From Brain Activity Signals

In this project we address the problem of artifact removal from Electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings of brain activity. We consider a particular type of artifacts, which are present during the monitoring of patients with diseases characterized by abnormal electrical-brain activity, such as Parkinson's. The artifacts are created by short electrical pulses sent by a special equipment to stimulate brain activity during brain surgeries. The pulses are emitted using a transmitter electrode, the same pulse is absorbed into the receiver's electrode and an artifact is received.
