The stethoscope is a medical device used to hear sounds in the chest cavity, such as heart and lung sounds, in an non-intrusive manner. The electrical stethoscope allows a physician to listen to higher frequencies or lower frequencies of the sounds of the chest cavity. The importance of the stethoscope is its use for a preliminary diagnosis of common chronic diseases. The aim of this project is noise removal from stethoscope signals recorded from the chest cavity. The noise removal procedure is performed by SSA - Singular Spectrum Analysis. The results show an improvement of 23 [dB] in SNR.
