Estimating Blood Pressure Using PPG Signals

Blood pressure is an essential measurement of the human body and an important parameter in early detection of cardiovascular diseases. Blood pressure is most often measured using sleeve devices or monitored intravenously on patients in a critical condition. This project is a continuation of previous projects done in the SIPL laboratory for measuring blood pressure using a smartphone camera. The network that gave the best results was the AlexNet network, with 75% success rate and an error of 4.5 [mmHg]. As part of the project, we built a new database that contains information from an existing database called MIMIC III as well as physical measurements using an oximeter and advanced blood pressure monitor.
